Welcome to JB’s Fly Foundry, Northern Skiff Outdoors’ collection of hand-selected, custom-prepared, and angler-driven fly tying materials for people who take pride in what comes off their vise.

These aren’t materials we’re stocking simply because they’re available. They’re the fibers, flash, components, colors, and tying essentials we use, experiment with, and reach for when building our own Bespoke Flies.

From our JB’s Premium Mop Tails and specialty fibers to flash, feathers, hooks, beads, and future small-batch materials, each product is selected with the same things in mind that matter when we’re tying: movement, durability, consistency, color, and fish appeal.

Expect proven staples alongside some things that are a little harder to find. We’ll experiment with custom colorways, unusual combinations, seasonal drops, and materials prepared specifically for the way we like to tie and fish.

Some will help you recreate proven patterns. Others are there for one reason—to make you look at the vise and wonder, What could I build with that?
